On the oval-shaped island off the Korean Peninsula, with a major axis of 75 kilometers and minor axis of 35 kilometers, there are about 360 volcanoes, with the 1,950-meter-high Mount Halla at the center providing magnificent scenery.Appearances on the ground are, however, totally insufficient in getting the real picture of Jeju.
