MINNEAPOLIS -- FAMOUS DAVE'S OF AMERICA, INC. (Nasdaq:DAVE) President and CEO David Goronkin announced today that the newest Famous Dave's Legendary Pit Bar-B-Que(R) opened on Monday, September 6, 2004 in Rockford, Illinois at 3303 North Perryville Road. The Rockford restaurant is Famous Dave's 99th location.

The Rockford Famous Dave's is owned by franchisee Elmore Foods, LLC (d/b/a Ranger Ribs, LLC), and operated by Dave Henson. Rockford is the 14th Famous Dave's restaurant in Illinois. It is the second Famous Dave's owned by Elmore Foods, which also owns the Davenport, Iowa location. Elmore Foods is headquartered in Davenport, Iowa.
