Sep. 5--SHANKSVILLE, Pa. -- On the rutted, gravel road to the bucolic Flight 93 temporary memorial, past the hay bales and rolling fields, a mountain of rusting Pepsi machines shatters the serenity.
They're surrounded by tons of twisted metal, all just one-tenth of a mile away from the hallowed grounds where the hijacked jetliner crashed on Sept. 11, 2001.
Now, six days before the third anniversary of the disaster, a Somerset County scrap metals dealer says it's only a matter of time before it relinquishes its land to posterity.
