TOKYO, Sept 7 Asia Pulse - Burberry Ltd. of the U.K. is the most popular foreign clothing brand among Japanese adults, as shown by a Nihon Keizai Shimbun survey on foreign fashion brands.

Of the 1,000 men and 1,000 women aged 20 to 69 who were surveyed, 92.3 per cent of male respondents knew Burberry, and 46.2 per cent of them said they liked the clothing brand.

Burberry and the Ralph Lauren brand of U.S. firm Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. were popular among all age groups. But support for Dunhill shows a wide generation gap. Only slightly more than 10 per cent of respondents in their 20s and 30s said they liked the brand marketed by U.K. firm Alfred Dunhill ...
