LITTLE FALLS, N.J., Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. market for cleaning products used in the food service industry has reached an estimated $1.7 billion in 2004, according to a newly released market study by Kline & Company. This represents an impressive recovery for an industry that weathered a difficult period following September 11.
The lodging trade was hit particularly hard as hotels and B&Bs saw their business wane with the drop in consumer travel. But as their occupancy rates returned to normal levels, demand for cleaning products-including automated warewashes, manual warewashes, and janitorial cleaners-also increased.
