Aug. 30--About two months ago, Walter Mueller had six lots left to sell in Yough Hall, a 13-unit housing development nestled off Porchers Bluff Road in the northern end of Mount Pleasant.
Mueller, an agent with Exit Professional Realty, was aware that the town's effort to put the brakes on residential growth had made home-building permits an increasingly scarce commodity. So he promoted the fact that construction permits for Yough Hall were readily available because the property is unincorporated, putting it outside Mount Pleasant's jurisdiction.
