Sep. 4--The Hurn Museum of Contemporary Folk Art, which plans to open its doors in Savannah on Nov. 1, promises to be Savannah's newest and most controversial museum.
"This museum will be unique among folk art museums because of its message," said co-founder Michael Sottile, who also serves as the chairman of the museum's board of directors. "It's going to be controversial because of our attempt to define folk art."
