Article: U.S. Earns 44 Medals at World Cheese Awards.

LONDON, Sept 9 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. specialty cheese makers brought home the gold -- and the silver and bronze -- at the 17th World Cheese Awards this weekend. With more than triple the number of entries from last year, U.S. companies captured 44 medals, earning praise from judges and contest officials for the wide variety of high-quality submissions.

The contest attracted nearly 1,500 entries overall, including 226 from the United States. Specialty cheeses from the United States earned 15 gold medals, 15 silvers and 14 bronze.
