Even though it was her first step into the world of insurance inside the United States, the 6,500-mile trip that risk management educator Weili Lu took nearly two decades ago from China to the Midwest was certainly not her most arduous.
That initial journey across the Pacific Ocean to teach and study in a country she had never visited, and in a language she knew only basically, was just the beginning for this hardworking native of Tianjin, China.
