LYNCHBURG, Tenn. -- Fifty years have passed since the first of many legendary advertisements for Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey appeared in TIME magazine and other publications. Today, folks at the Jack Daniel Distillery and their guests launched a celebration to honor the small town of Lynchburg, Tennessee, where the whiskey has been crafted since 1866 and many local residents have appeared in the advertisements over the years.
