American Equity Mortgage, which specializes in debt consolidation, has opened its first office here at 1601 Forum Place.
Christine Knerr has been promoted to manage the branch. Ms. Knerr joined the company in 2002 as a loan officer and has worked her way up through American Equity Mortgage's manager-in-training program.
As part of the expansion, the company is also adding 14 employees to this location.
The West Palm Beach office is the company's ninth new branch to debut this year. Others include new offices in Baltimore, Nashville, Memphis and Portland, Ore., and additional branches in Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Denver and Seattle.
