Painful thoughts make up the foundation of depression. The thoughts and feelings can lead to a feeling of "what's the point?" Often, the viewpoint doesn't even reflect the circumstances.
When the blues have you down, here are some things you can do:
Set goals that you achieve in a short time; refrain from assuming too much responsibility. Break large tasks into small ones, set some priorities and do what you can as you can.
Don't turn your house into a tomb. Get out, be with other people, find someone with a friendly ear, participate in activities that help you feel better.
