Iam heartened by Coun Michael Davey's response about the costs of local government in Northumberland.
Heartened, because at last he acknowledges the very thorough and professional report commissioned by the district councils. This report from Rita Hale Associates is very comprehensive, stands up to close scrutiny and Michael actually quotes from this.
However, the bit he fails to quote is the part which highlights that a unitary county would cost more in council tax than two unitary districts.
