Miuccia Prada has always shied away from Hollywood, but the designer spent lavishly--an estimated $35 million--on her newest store, which the the company prefers to call an Epicenter, that opened in Beverly Hills on July 16. She was also generous to the store's first guests: 50 A-listers, many of whom were swathed in Prada silk, sequins and rhinestones for the evening.

"Her clothes are magical," said Angie Harmon, twirling in her lemon-yellow chiffon frock. "You can wear colors you never thought you could, and styles you never thought would flatter you."
