A new book about the spiritual aspects of fall includes a poem by former Syracuse University creating-writing instructor Stephen Dobyns.
"The Music One Looks Back On" is one of about three dozen pieces collected in "Autumn: A Spiritual Biography of the Season" (Skylights Paths Publishing, $22.95), edited by Gary Schmidt and Susan M. Felch and illustrated by Mary Azarian.
Dobyns' poem originally appeared in "Body Traffic," published in 1990 by the Penguin Group. His work includes a series of mysteries set in Saratoga, several books of poetry, a book of essays and novels including "The Church of Dead ...
