ARISTECH CHEMICAL CONFIRMS APPROVAL OF CONSENT ORDER
PITTSBURGH, May 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Aristech Chemical Corporation (NYSE: ARS) confirmed today the approval of a consent order between the State of Ohio and Aristech in which the company has agreed to a precedent-setting pollution prevention plan that should serve as a progressive model for such agreements in the future.
The consent order involves a commitment by Aristech to ongoing reductions in releases to the air, water and land and in the generation of wastes at its Haverhill, Ohio, facility.
