  IBM/PITTSBURGH PIRATES STUDENT PENNANT RACE 
Rain or shine, 1,000 area seventh-graders will join IBM Corporation

and the Pittsburgh Pirates at the IBM/Pittsburgh Pirates Student Pennant Race picnic at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, in the A.J. Palumbo Center on the Duquesne University campus. 

 
The students were selected for the program by their teachers on the basis of a positive attitude toward education and their community.  Each student brings an adult guest.  The 2,000-person crowd and the message from IBM and the Pirates that "We like your attitude," make for a great photo opportunity.
