WEEKS NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF NEW YORK TIMES REGIONAL

NEW YORK, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- James C. Weeks today was named executive vice president and chief operating officer of the New York Times Regional Newspaper Group.  The announcement was made by John R. Harrison, president of the group. 
Weeks, 50, was named senior vice president of the group in 1987 after having served as publisher of the Press Democrat in Santa Rosa, California, since 1985.
