Vitamin C holds promise for preventing high blood pressure, cataracts, certain types of cancer and in lessening the symptoms of severe colds. Nobel prize winner Linus Pauling, made similar claims 20 years ago and mainstream nutritionists were more than a little skeptical. Today, research findings suggest he was right.
