Sep. 17--The rental fees are steep: $1,000 a day per car. But the growls from the muscle-car engines make it all worthwhile, said LaFayette Ford owner Don Price.
"As much fun as it is to look at them," Price said, "the real fun is starting them up." The dealership has rented the concept Ford GT, Mustang GTR, Bronco and Shelby Cobra from Ford for three days at a cost of $12,000.
The cars are part of a celebration of LaFayette Ford's new showroom.
Price will be the host of a ribbon-cutting today for the showroom at the 55-year-old business on Raeford Road.
