Packed meatpacking hub spreads north; midtown incubator eggs on more firms

Now that the meatpacking district is saturated with trendy restaurants, a new dining hub is forming just to the north in West Chelsea.

One of the latest deals is for Hudson Point, slated to open by year's end in a new residential building at 156 10th Ave. The eatery comes from the owners of Five Points, a Mediterranean/American spot on Great Jones Street in NoHo.

The restaurateurs signed a 15-year lease for a two-level space. The location includes 3,400 square feet on the ground level, with an asking rent of $60 per square foot, and ...
