BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Hal Sutton will ultimately be labeled a genius or a fool for the move, but the U.S. Ryder Cup captain has done what none of his predecessors ever dared by putting Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson together in team play.
The two best players on the American side will tee off at 8:10 this morning on the South Course at Oakland Hills in the first fourball (bestball) match of the 35th Ryder Cup against Europe's best career Ryder Cup player, Colin Montgomerie, and its highest-ranked player, Padraig Harrington.
