New Delhi, Sep 18 (PTI) India's Home Minister Shivraj Patil has ordered an inquiry into the recent release of controversial religion-based census figures that triggered a controversy over the "high growth" of Muslims even as Census Commissioner J K Banthia is being reverted to his state cadre.
The inquiry being conducted by Home Secretary Dhirendra Singh will go into the "entire" aspects including the intentions behind the release of the religion-based figures relating to the release of the report, official sources told PTI on Saturday.
