ROME - The desert locust crisis in Mauritania, Senegal, Mali and Niger is expected to deteriorate over the next few weeks, and there is a serious risk that North-West Africa will be reinvaded by swarms from October onwards, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) warned today.
