Oct. 18--Baja Fresh Mexican Grill plans to bring its chain of restaurants to the Twin Cities sometime next year, according to a commercial real estate executive familiar with the local retail market.
Thousand Oaks, Calif.-based Baja Fresh is one of several restaurant firms looking to enter the St. Paul-Minneapolis market, said Chris Simmons, vice president of the retail brokerage division at Bloomington-based Welsh Cos.
Other chains interested in this market include Pot Belly, Bear Rock Cafe and Pei Wei, Simmons said in a 2004 outlook report released Thursday during a Minneapolis seminar for a real estate trade group.
