Sep. 18--PADUCAH, Ky. -- Gander Mountain, which opened this week near Kentucky Oaks Mall, will hold its grand opening the weekend of Oct. 1-3.
Civic leaders and company officials will cut a ribbon at 8 a.m. Oct. 1 for the 75,000-square-foot store at 3240 James-Sanders Blvd. Other activities include giveaways and prizes.
On Sept. 29, the store will host a "partners' night" for outdoor conservation groups. Members of those organizations will receive merchandise vouchers.
More than 1,200 people applied online at a July job fair for the store's 120 positions, paying $6 to $10 ...
