Article: Seiko Corp. Posts 1.69 Billion Yen Profit in April-June Quarter.

Aug. 12--TOKYO--Seiko Corp. said Tuesday it chalked up a group net profit of 1.69 billion yen in the April-June quarter, equal to 24.14 percent of its net profit projection for the business year ending March 31, 2004.

The marketer of watches and other precision instruments also reported a consolidated pretax profit of 1.85 billion yen on group sales of 48.88 billion yen.

The figures equal 17.62 percent and 22.37 percent respectively of the pretax profit and sales estimates for the full year.
