Aug. 21--Employers worried about where they'll find workers in the future should consider the deep pool of minority youths in the Milwaukee area, a report released Wednesday suggests.
A study by the Employment & Training Institute at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee shows Milwaukee first among the 100 largest U.S. metropolitan areas for the youngest African-American population.
The Milwaukee area also has the fourth-youngest Asian-American population and the ninth-youngest Latino population, according to the research, which was commissioned by the Milwaukee Department of City Development.
