Aug. 22--Cinergy officials are asking customers to be on the lookout for con artists posing as utility employees.
Although recent reports of fraudulent activity have come from the Plainfield area, Cinergy officials are asking all Indiana customers to be cautious of suspicious activity.
"If someone comes to your door claiming to work for the electric company, ask for company identification and if there is any doubt, contact us for further verification," Cinergy customer relations manager Laura Sheets said in a written statement Thursday.
