Jul. 25--The fourth annual Zucchini Festival will kick off Thursday, July 31, at 5 p.m. in Bristol with a free-will supper in the community center on Main Street.
The festival will continue on Main Street for the rest of the evening with a cook-off contest of recipes involving zucchini, games for children and bingo, said Karin Bartell, president of the Bristol Commercial Club, which sponsors the event.
"When it first started, it was kind of an appreciation supper for the people in the community for the business they do on Main Street," Bartell said.
