Jun. 28--CNN Headline News is giving evening viewers a break from the busy graphics that crawl along the bottom of the screen.
Starting Monday, the network is clearing the clutter for an hour starting at 9 p.m.
No weather. No ticker. No sports scores. Just one thing to absorb: the story the anchor is delivering.
Headline News executives note that other news networks, including CNN, have talk shows at 9 p.m. They figure Headline News can grab viewers hungry for hard news, including folks who prefer a traditional look.
