Sep. 21--Boone County is purchasing land at 217 N. Ninth St., the former site of Cosmetology Concepts Institute downtown.
Northern District Boone County Commissioner Skip Elkin said the county might lease out the 3,168-square-foot building for several years to help cover the $262,650 purchase price.
Eventually, the county wants to use the land to help address its need for more space.
