May 6--PEORIA, Ill.--Glen Barton, chairman of Caterpillar Inc., will head a task force of corporate leaders that will focus on rising health care costs, identified by The Business Roundtable as the top issue facing business today.
Barton, who as Caterpillar's CEO is a member of the roundtable, was named by that group of CEOs from the nation's largest companies as chairman of its Health and Retirement Task Force.
The roundtable recently surveyed 150 of America's leading CEO on the economic outlook for the next six months and 44 percent said health care costs represented "the greatest cost pressure" facing business, according to a news release from the ...
