Olympic cycling gold medalist Tyler Hamilton Tuesday vehemently disputed the results of recent blood testing that indicated he may have used transfusions to try to boost his performance.
At a news conference in Switzerland, home base for Hamilton's professional team, Phonak, the 33-year-old Massachusetts native said he is "100 percent innocent" and would fight the accusations even if it bankrupts him.
"I have always been an honest person," Hamilton said, according to wire service reports. "I am devastated to be here tonight. My family is devastated. My team is devastated. My friends are devastated.
