Mark Loretta walked into Dodger Stadium on Wednesday with an entourage. He had a cameraman and several assistants from Major League Baseball in tow, filming his every move for a piece on teams still making a push for the playoffs.

Loretta was miked for pregame activities and his first at-bat. A few years ago, Loretta wouldn't have commanded such attention. But he has become the San Diego Padres' big-name second baseman with big-time statistics.
