Apr. 16--WESLACO, Texas--Ai ya yai! This hot sauce is so hot, it's called "Macho" sauce.
"My hot sauce is cooked. The grease has to be real hot or you won't get the right taste," said Alicia Hernandez, keeper of a secret hot-sauce recipe she's determined to keep to herself.
"I will not give my friends the recipe. I will not even give my sister the recipe," Hernandez said.
Hernandez is part owner of Lone Star Meats and Deli on Weslaco's Border Street.
