Outlook
Vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) demand continues to strengthen, boosted by the economic recovery. Prices have jumped by more than 20% since the beginning of the year because of strong demand and lack of new capacity, market sources say. There is no European market price for VCM because almost all VCM producers are integrated into polyvinyl chloride (PVC) production, analysts say.
