Sep. 22--LOWELL, Mass. -- A pair of restaurant owners eyeing downtown Lowell are preparing for a game of chicken -- fried chicken.
As downtown dining options continue to increase, two fried-chicken restaurants are expected to soon open on opposite sides of Merrimack Street.
The prospective proprietors and their associates deny any corporate affiliation, but the two eateries do appear to spring from one group of restaurants out of New York and New Jersey.
