Jan. 20--The amount of sulfur used in area vineyards -- more than 1 million pounds per year -- will be the subject of a community forum Tuesday in Los Olivos.
The Central Coast Wine Growers' Association is sponsoring the free seminar from 7 to 9 p.m. at St. Mark's In-the-Valley Episcopal Church, 2901 Nojoqui Ave.
With both the proliferation of new vineyards and new homesites, more people are becoming concerned about the amount of pesticides on farms near residential properties.
