Ten years ago, Ridley Scott's Blade Runner went boldly where few science-fiction films had gone before. It's just that at the time of its release, nobody realized it.
A major disappointment when issued in movie houses in the summer of 1982, the $30-million-plus film was met with mixed reviews and less than enthusiastic box-office response, taking in a total of $15 million in U.S. theaters.
