2004 SEP 27 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Arriva Pharmaceuticals announced that it presented new data on the company's lead molecule, recombinant Alpha 1-Antitrypsin (rAAT) at the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Meeting in Glasgow.
In an oral presentation, Arriva researchers made public the findings from a newly completed study showing that rAAT successfully prevented up to 73% of the lung tissue breakdown caused by cigarette smoke in treated animals.
