EVENT The Salvation Army of Greater Philadelphia is celebrating
its 125th anniversary of service and mission in the
Philadelphia area. To mark the occasion, the organization
is hosting "125 Hours of Service" - three sites that
symbolize the past, present and future of The Salvation
Army and its reach. At each site, representatives from
The Salvation Army will place items in a traditional Red
Kettle as a time capsule to commemorate the anniversary.
The symbolic kettle will be housed at the local Salvation
Army headquarters.
