FORT WORTH, Texas _ Before Saturday's game, quarterback Tye Gunn, wide receiver Reggie Harrell and cornerback Mark Walker were supposed to be the significant figures missing for the Horned Frogs because of injuries.
It turned out the biggest name missing was some guy named Clif Alexander.
Alexander, who has handled deep-snapping duties for the past two seasons, wasn't available Saturday night because of a concussion suffered against Texas Tech last week, and his absence left the Horned Frogs with a painful 45-44, double-overtime setback in their Conference USA opener at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
