It's been a long time since Cincinnati was the undisputed machine tool capital of the world as it was in the mid-20th century.
But even as the region's dominance has waned, the brand name "Cincinnati" still packs a lot of punch with manufacturers.
The Cincinnati name became almost synonymous with excellence in manufacturing machinery largely because of Cincinnati Milling Machine Co., which later became Cincinnati Milacron.
