San Diego-based health care system Scripps Health recently ranked third to the AARP's annual "Best Employers for Workers Over 50" survey.
The health system earned kudos for offering flexible scheduling, career advancement, health benefits and recognition of long-term employees.
Scripps also prides itself on offering matches as part of its retirement savings plan and recognizing the needs of older workers.
Nearly one third of Scripps' 11,000-person work force is age 50 or older. Scripps said in a Sept. 1 statement.
