Sep. 25--LAKELAND, Fla. -- For nearly three years, ButterKrust Bakery President Doug Wimberly has said that consumers wouldn't accept 7-day-old bread at the supermarket, despite the baking industry's attempts to extend bread's shelf life.
Now, Wimberly, whose company bakes all of Publix Super Markets' private-label bread, may be proved correct.
