The number merely confirms what most thinking people had to know, even before a single vote was cast during the first of this year's primaries - what had to be apparent even as they tallied hanging chads in Florida four Novembers ago:
Only fools and the comatose will sit out the upcoming Nov. 2 presidential election. And quite demonstrably, every single vote counts.
One thousand people a day. It is an astounding number, when you think of it. More than 7,000 people a week. It is how many people in Colorado registered to vote over a 27-day period from mid-August to mid-September, an unprecedented total.
