Cherry Creek mall marketing maven Lisa Herzlich had a close encounter with Sting, but she didn't get stung. In fact, her experience with the superstar was quite the opposite Tuesday at the Pepsi Center.
Herzlich's brush with fame started when her pal, Denver Newspaper Agency sales gal Shana Bastemeyer, snagged a mask from Sting when the rocker was last here at the Fillmore Auditorium.
Sting graciously agreed to paint a mask for the Mask Project, the fund- raiser for Hospice of Metro Denver.
Through the mask delivery and pickup process, Bastemeyer befriended Sting's road manager, William (if you work for Sting, I guess ...
