Thanks for the interview with Robert Randolph [Sept. '04]. I stumbled across his music when I saw him on his first appearance on Austin City Limits, and I must say that seeing him gave me goose bumps. It reminded me of the first time I saw Stevie Ray Vaughan at a small club in Washington, D.C., back in 1983. Not since then has any single show by a performer left me as amazed as I was that night--until I saw Robert Randolph.
And, just as I did after the first time I saw Stevie, I started telling everyone that would listen, "You have got to check out this cat Robert Randolph. Man, he's gonna be big." He is an incredible musician, a great entertainer, and he has the ...
