Dr. Jonathan Wright's article on Vitamin D (Issue 250, page 75) is timely. However, according to the information cited below, one's Vitamin D level should never be below 32 ng/ml, not 25 ng/ml. as written. That standard is outdated. Also, before proceeding with supplements, a lab test is essential and monitoring by a qualified physician is prudent. I am fortunate to have such a doctor and it is that doctor who provided me with this information. These data are not criticism of the article. However, they do offer additional relevant information on this very vital subject.
